Great location, rude owners
Our group booked a retreat at the St. Joseph Institute (now Serenity Inn and Spa). Our group was promised, in writing, exclusive use of the facilities, but the owners booked a wedding at the same time as our retreat which negatively impacted our event in a number of ways.
When we complained about this, the owners were defensive and basically made it seem like we were a burden and not paying customers. Our group spend more than $13,000 on facilities and spa services - I cannot believe how rudely we were treated.
I absolutely would not recommend doing any business with St. Joseph Institute or Serenity Inn & Spa. It's a shame because the spa services were great, facilities are beautiful, and the rest of the staff are kind. The owners unfortunately don't believe in good customer service.
